Clifton Assessments & Training Limited, (known herein as the company) recognise its duties and responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and will comply with all statutory duties for Health & Safety to ensure as far as reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all employees and other parties who may be affected by our direct work activities.
The Director of the company, Adam Schapiro, is aware of their individual responsibilities and what is required to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the company’s workforce and anyone affected by our work activities. Employees will also be made aware of their responsibilities to ensure the health, safety and welfare of their own wellbeing and those affected by their actions through cooperation with the company.

We take a strict approach to breaches of this policy, which will be dealt with in accordance with our Disciplinary Procedure. Serious cases of deliberate discrimination may amount to gross misconduct resulting in dismissal.
If you believe that you have suffered discrimination you must raise your concerns with your line manager or a board director. Complaints will be treated in confidence and investigated as appropriate.
There must be no victimisation or retaliation against staff who complain about discrimination. However, making a false allegation deliberately and in bad faith will be treated as misconduct and dealt with under our Disciplinary Procedure.

1. Overview and How We Define Modern Slavery
1.1 Slavery, child labour and human trafficking are serious crimes and a violation of fundamental human rights. There are various forms of this ‘Modern Slavery’ which deprives victims of their liberty and usually involves financial exploitation.
1.2 At Clifton Assessments & Training Limited we conduct our business fairly, ethically and with respect to fundamental human rights. We are fully committed to the prevention of all forms of slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour and human trafficking, both in our business and in our supply chains. We will not tolerate it.
1.3 This policy does not form part of your contract of employment, and we reserve the right to amend this policy at any time.
1.4 You are required to read and comply with this policy if you work for, or on behalf of the Company in any capacity including as: an employee, director, officer, worker, consultant, volunteer, supplier or service provider.
1.5 The Company’s Anti-Slavery Officer Adam Schapiro (‘ASO’) is responsible for this policy.
1.6 Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal, or termination of the contract between you and the Company. It could also involve other legal steps being taken against you.
2. Preventing Slavery and Human-Trafficking in Our Business
2.1 The Company makes appropriate checks on all employees, recruitment agencies and suppliers, to know who is working for, or on behalf of us.
2.2 The Company provides every employee with a written contract of employment. We pay every employee in accordance with the law. We comply with our legal obligations to ensure the health and safety of all of our employees and workers, including in relation to working hours, rest breaks and holidays.
2.3 All employees are required to sign a copy of this policy to show they have read and understood it. All managers are provided with training on this policy.
3. If You Are One of Our Suppliers
3.1 If you supply the Company with goods or services, you must assess your business and supply chains and confirm to our ASO that you comply with your legal
obligations, in relation to Modern Slavery, and are committed to ensuring there is no slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour or human trafficking taking place in your business, or any of your supply chains. You must also provide a copy of your anti-slavery policy.
3.2 If you breach this policy, or are found to have slavery or human trafficking in your business, or knowingly in your supply chain, the Company may terminate the contract with you and pursue its legal remedies against you.
4. If You Are An Employee Or Worker Providing Services For Us
4.1 You must immediately report any suspicions of Modern Slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chains to our ASO. Our ASO will investigate and report to our Board of Directors, within a reasonable time, on actions which may require to be taken.
4.2 You will not suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting any genuine concerns, raised in good faith, under this policy. This applies, even if after investigation, they are found to be mistaken. If you believe that you have suffered any such treatment, you should immediately inform our ASO and if you are an employee, refer to our Grievance and Whistleblowing Policies.
Introduction and Aim
Clifton Assessments & Training Limited is a vocational training business, operating from a site in Clifton, Bristol. Our main services are undertaking End Point Assessments for NVQs and NVQ Training. We recognise that our operations result in emissions to air and water, and the generation of waste. It is our aim to comply with legislation and other requirements, continue to reduce the environmental impacts of our business and operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This policy describes how we will achieve our aim.
Responsibility
This environmental policy applies to all of our operations including management, office services, site operations, and procurement. Adam Schapiro, Managing Director has overall responsibility for ensuring that sufficient resources are made available to enable the business to achieve our environmental objectives and targets and that the policy is implemented.

However, all employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.

This environmental policy is available on request. All members of staff will receive training on the environmental responsibilities of their role and will be informed of any updates or revisions via e-mail or team meetings.

The goal of the company is to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction at all times. Commitment to the implementation of supporting managerial and business operational systems is essential to realising that goal. It is also recognised that the business environment will have an impact on our quality policy.
Clifton Assessments & Training Limited is committed to the management of mutually beneficial relationships between clients and suppliers, working together in the implementation of this policy and in continually improving the quality of the products and/or services it supplies.

Interpretation and Definitions
“The Company” means Clifton Assessments & Training Ltd whose registered office is Kestrel court, B7, Harbour Rd, Portishead BS20 7AN
“The Client” means the person specified in the Quotation or the enrolment form.
“The Quotation” means the written quotation for the performance of the closed course services or any consultancy services as may from time to time be amended by the written agreement of the parties.
“The Services” means the open courses as detailed in the Course Brochure or the closed courses or any other consultancy services as detailed in the Quotation.
1.0 Appointment
The appointment of the Client is confirmed once full payment has been made, the enrolment form has been completed and signed, and the Company has provided written confirmation that the client has been accepted onto the course.
All qualifications are provided and delivered within the awarding organisations requirements and to the national occupational standards, the standards are subject to change with prior notice by the awarding organisation but are without liability to Clifton Assessment, its assessors/trainers, and associates.
The Client shall comply with all applicable Health and Safety legislation and regulations in respect of any employee of the Company or self-employed person engaged by the Company to provide the Services whilst such person is working on the Client’s premises and the Client shall provide the Company with such information as is necessary to enable the Company to comply with all applicable Health and Safety legislation and regulations in respect of that person.
Substitution of a Learner will not be allowed once the learner has been registered with the awarding organisation.
All qualifications are provided without guarantee and certification is granted upon successful completion of the qualification if you feel that the course does not meet your requirements or personal expectations you must bring this immediately to your assessor’s attention for rectification.
2. Price
The price of the competency assessment qualification includes the following.
a) Registration with Awarding Body & Certification.
b) Assessment of submitted evidence by the assessor up to the completion of portfolio,
c) Initial learner induction to the requirements of the registered qualification and the awarding organisations requirements either as an individual or as part of a group induction,
d) Supportive documentation to assist in building a portfolio of workplace evidence to prove competence for the registered qualification,
e) Internal Verification of assessment decision leading to application for certification,
f) Safe and secure storage of assessment documentation including certification for a period as determined by the awarding organisation.
Payment can be made via, Bank Transfer, or credit/debit card
Any payments made after registration are non-refundable and non-transferable if a learner fails to complete through no fault of the training centre, even if paid for in full.
Prices quoted cover the agreed course identified in the Enrolment Form ONLY and does not cover card extensions, renewals or upgrades and any associated health, safety and environmental tests required.

All cancellations must be received in writing and sent to Clifton Assessments & Training Ltd.

Any fees occurred by Clifton Assessments & Training Ltd resulting from cancellations e.g. awarding bodies fees, course materials etc will be chargeable at cost.
4. Confidentiality
All information supplied by the Client to the Company and all information supplied by the Company to the Client shall be deemed to have been furnished in confidence for the purpose authorised by the Quotation or acknowledgement of
order and no other. The recipient party shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent communication of any such information to any of its employees or to any third party except as may be necessary in order to carry out the purpose of the quotation. If disclosure to an employee or a third party is necessary for such purposes, then such employee or third party shall be required to observe the same confidentiality obligation as the recipient party.
Neither the Company nor the Client shall use the name of the other in any publicity material nor publish anything relating to work being undertaken pursuant to the performance of the Services without the prior written permission of the other (such permission not to be unreasonably withheld).
5. Complaints
If a problem or issue arises whilst you are on your course, you must raise it with Clifton Assessments & Training Ltd Immediately in writing to info@cliftonassessments.com. Every effort will be made to address this in a timely manner, for further information please refer to our complaint’s procedure.
